KinderKirche

KinderKirche is an intergenerational approach to Sunday Church School for children and caregivers on the first Sunday of the month with thematically related music, stories, and age-appropriate activities. Take-home activity bags also will be available for family use during the rest of the month. All ages are welcome to join us!
 
Kinderkirche Kids
Dr. Robbin WithersOur Kinderkirche Kids (KK) finished the 2010 – 2011 school year with a lesson on Doubt and Faith, with emphasis on remembering that although we can’t always see God, he is always there for us. The take home activity for the month was a woven cross to display in their bedrooms to remind them of their faith over the summer. Special thanks to Marlene Brelsford and Alex Stigall for the support they have given us in preparing activities and materials for this year of Kinderkirche. The Kinderkirche Kids gave our founders Robin Withers and Pat Kittelson a hand of thanks with “Hand Print” Quilts. Each child made a hand print with fabric paint to show their appreciation for all the hours, love and creativity Miss Pat and Miss Robin have put into developing and conducting each month’s KK session.

We also want to say enthusiastic thanks to Carolyn Bolden for her musical kick off every month.  Carolyn not only remembers each child with “If your name is”, but also works hard to find children’s songs that mirror our lesson themes. The kids love singing and they enjoy each and every verse of Miss Carolyn’s songs. Thank you, Carolyn!
